CLIENT: MG GROUP SUBJECT: OUTLOOK 2003 FOR “DISTINCTIVE PROPERTIES” SECTION CONTACT: STAN LEMOND (JILLETTE) RELEASE: 332-NR-003 DATE: 1/03 THE MG GROUP ENJOYS CONTINUED GROWTH AND SALES SUCCESS For more than two decades, the Colts Neck (NJ) based MG Group, has continued to experience substantial growth by offering potential buyers a fine selection of upscale, semi-custom homes specifically tailored to meet their needs. According to Irwin Nudelman, director of construction, this success is attributed to the company’s efforts to move from building tract housing to creating residences which are considerably more customized for today’s buyers’ demands. “The MG Group’s home designs have evolved with the times so that people feel like they are getting a custom home when they are, in fact, personalizing an existing plan,” says Nudelman. “We gear our homes to suit the changing needs of the buying public. Though we sell from a set of plans and brochures, we are more than willing to sit down with the purchasers and be flexible in terms of addressing their needs. Our home designs lend themselves to getting customization done quickly, so as to not hinder the selection/options process.” Three of the company’s newest communities are located in lovely Howell Township. Ardena Acres at Colts View, is a distinctive seven-home community bordering Colts Neck. Ardena Acres at Aldrich Woods, features 16 wooded homesites on a scenic, private cul-de-sac, and Ardena Acres at Crystal Creek, offering 31 homes on up to an acre of land each situated on a quiet residential street. Each community offer homebuyers eight elegant and spacious home designs in a variety of different elevations. Starting in the mid-$400’s, these exciting new single-family home communities provide the utmost in serene, luxurious living along with desirable centralized convenience to transportation, shopping, beaches, and more. Each Ardena Acres community boasts an extraordinary level of customization and options. As Nudelman notes, while people were once more focused on the outside of their homes, they are today concentrating on the interior floorplans. Requests for in-law or guest suites, for example, which can easily be added to the first floor of the home without expanding the size of the home, are increasingly popular. Second floor “princess suites” with private baths are frequently requested as well. People also seem to be focused on entertaining in their homes again, and are asking for expanded family rooms and upgraded kitchens with state of the art appliances in addition to open, airy floor plans. Information technology is another option in high demand, as buyers prefer integrated telephone, computer and cable systems. Nudelman, who is an architect, is well qualified to advise homebuyers on the potential to personalize their new home. For example, family rooms or kitchens can be enlarged, offices can be added on to bedrooms, windows can be moved or added, fireplaces can be incorporated into living rooms and master bedroom suites, and secondary bedrooms may be expanded into “princess suites”. Buyers may also choose ceramic tile or granite countertops and top-of-the-line cabinetry. The MG Group maintains a décor center in Colts Neck, where buyers can work with trained consultants to adorn their home with a wide range of available options. Nudelman says the MG Group has made a mark for itself in the new housing market and found its niche among homebuyers with its uniquely-customizable home designs. “Most of our communities are upscale, for trade-up buyers who want to remain in a prestigious neighborhood, rather than entry-level buyers. That seems to be what’s demanded today. These buyers are on at least their second home, so they know what they are looking for. Plus, they are not looking to buy a home and then call a contractor to come renovate it later.” Ardena Acres at Colts View, Ardena Acres at Aldrich Woods and Ardena Acres at Crystal Creek have been extremely well received by the homebuying public, says Nudelman, and enjoying healtthy sales to date. “Most of the buyers,” he says, “are families with young children looking for a great home that meets their needs. That is what we do, and we have been pretty successful at it so far.” Though the company concentrates mainly in western Monmouth County. The MG Group’s current communities throughout New Jersey exemplify the firm’s innovative approach to building. These communities include Wayside Hills in Ocean Township, a community of 39 homes starting in the high $500 range, Longview at Wayside just a mile down the road, plus Colts View Estates in Tinton Falls. The company has also built homes in other parts of the country as well.
Of his company Nudelman adds, “The MG Group often gives communities
different affiliate names. The idea is to remain low-key and let our homes
stand for themselves.” |
